Driver's Education + Road Test + Test-Day Prep Hour

This package is the Basic road test package with two changes. You get a 1-hour practice drive with an instructor before the official test, and you get up to 6 months to finish instead of 2.

The practice drive is a chance to work on the things an examiner checks: lane use, signs and signals, parallel and reverse parking, speed, braking and turns. Small habits such as complete stops and mirror checks are easier to fix with an instructor beside you than to remember alone on the test.

Six driving hours spread over 6 months is a light load. One hour a month would cover it. The longer limit is there for your life, not for the lessons.

It helps if you are a teen who got a learner permit recently. Oklahoma requires drivers under 18 to hold the permit for at least 180 days before the road test, which is about 6 months. A 2-month package ends long before that wait does. Here the two timelines sit much closer together.

It also helps students with a sports season, a job or exams in the way. You can pause for a few weeks and still finish on time.

A simple plan for this package:

• Take the weekend class first, so the rules are fresh when you start driving
• Spread the 6 lesson hours out and practice at home between them
• If you are a teen, keep logging your 50 supervised hours with a parent, including 10 at night
• Schedule the practice drive close to your road test

Classroom hours are unlimited, so you can come back to a weekend class later in the 6 months for a refresher on the rules.

Pickup is not included, so you get yourself to class at 5601 NW 72nd Street, Suite 124, in Warr Acres. A free retest is not included either. If you do not pass, you wait at least one day and book the retest as a separate service.

The Deluxe package adds both of those things, but gives you 2 months instead of 6. So the choice between them is a trade. Choose this one if time is what you need. Choose the Deluxe if a ride and a second attempt matter more and you can finish quickly.

When you do pass, you take the result to a Tag Agency or Service Oklahoma, and the state issues your license there.
