Driving Lessons and Driver's Ed for Bethany, Oklahoma

ProDrive Academy has one office, and it is in Warr Acres, the city on Bethany's east side. The address is 5601 NW 72nd Street, Suite 124.

Starting at Bethany City Hall on NW 36th Street, head east on NW 39th Expressway. Turn north on MacArthur Boulevard, then east on NW 72nd Street. That trip is about 3.7 miles and takes about 8 to 10 minutes. If you live on the west side near Council Road, plan on about 5 to 7 miles.

The whole city falls within 10 miles of the office. That matters if you choose the Deluxe package or the Adult and International package, because free pickup is part of those two.

You do not get your license at our office. Once you pass the road test, you carry the approved result to a Tag Agency or a Service Oklahoma office, and the state issues the license there. Bethany has three Tag Agencies. Call first to confirm the hours and that the location handles driver licenses.

Two public school districts cover Bethany. Bethany Public Schools serves the central part of the city. Its high school is Bethany High School at 4500 N. Mueller Avenue, home of the Bronchos. Putnam City Schools serves most of the rest. Putnam City West High School is at 8500 NW 23rd Street, just past the city line in Oklahoma City.

Bethany also has two university campuses, and both face NW 39th Expressway. Southern Nazarene University is at number 6729. Southwestern Christian University is at number 7210.

• NW 39th Expressway (Historic Route 66). The main route through downtown Bethany. It runs past both universities, so watch for people crossing on foot and cars turning into campus lots.
• Rockwell Avenue. A north and south arterial through the city. It crosses NW 39th Expressway and NW 23rd Street, which makes it a good place to get used to left turns at busy signals.
• Council Road. The north and south arterial on the west side of town.
• NW 23rd Street. A commercial arterial on the south side with many shop driveways. Two of the city's Tag Agencies are here.
• NW 50th Street. An east and west road across the north side that carries you toward MacArthur Boulevard and our office.
• Mueller Avenue. This street passes Bethany High School. Slow down and scan for students at the start and end of the school day.
