Getting to Our Office From Midwest City and Del City

ProDrive Academy has one office, at 5601 NW 72nd Street, Suite 124, Warr Acres, close to Northwest Expressway. From Midwest City it is about 18 miles and about 30 minutes. From Del City it is about 15 miles and about 25 minutes.

The usual way is I-40 west. Midwest City drivers can get on at Air Depot Boulevard, SE 29th Street or Sooner Road. Del City drivers can use Sunnylane Road or SE 15th Street. Stay on I-40 through downtown Oklahoma City, then take I-44 north. A short run on Lake Hefner Parkway puts you on Northwest Expressway going west, and NW 72nd Street is just off it.

Both cities are outside the 10-mile pickup range. Free pickup is part of the Deluxe package and the Adult and International package only, and it covers addresses within 10 miles of the office. Families in Midwest City and Del City should call us to arrange it.

Roads Midwest City and Del City Drivers Use Every Day

East-side driving is shaped by I-40 and by the gates of Tinker Air Force Base. A new driver here should be ready for these:

  • I-40: the interstate that cuts through Del City from northwest to southeast and continues past Midwest City beside Tinker Air Force Base. Exits include Sunnylane Road, SE 15th Street, Sooner Road, Hudiburg Drive, SE 29th Street, Air Depot Boulevard, Town Center Drive and Douglas Boulevard. Ramps are close together, so merging and lane choice matter.
  • Air Depot Boulevard and Douglas Boulevard: north and south arterials whose I-40 exits lead to Tinker gates. Give yourself extra room when base traffic is heavy.
  • Midwest Boulevard and Sooner Road: north and south streets with signals and turn lanes, useful for practicing left turns.
  • SE 15th Street and SE 29th Street: east and west arterials that run through both cities. SE 15th Street passes the Rose State College campus.
  • Reno Avenue: an east and west street through the north part of Midwest City. It also has an I-40 exit on the Del City end.
  • I-35: just west of Del City, where it meets I-40. At this junction you must read the signs early, because lanes split in different directions.
  • School zones: slow down near Del City High on Sunnylane Road and near the Midwest City schools at arrival and dismissal times.
