ProDrive Express Model

The Express Model is for a student with a date in mind: a move, a new job, the start of a school year. It puts 10 hours behind the wheel, the classroom course, a 1-hour practice drive and the official road test into 30 days.

It also includes new driver coaching, one free retest and the defensive driving class at no charge.

It does not suit someone whose month is already full. If you cannot give several hours a week to driving, a package with a longer limit will serve you better.

Ten hours in 30 days works out to more than two hours of driving every week, with no week off. Add at least 10 classroom hours on top.

The classroom part is the simpler piece to plan. Classes meet every weekend, Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, so one weekend takes care of the minimum. Do that in your first week if you can.

Lessons are by appointment in morning, evening and weekend times. Ask for your times as soon as you enroll, and treat them as fixed. A lesson must be moved at least 24 hours ahead, or it is forfeited. A 30-day plan has little slack for that.

The school's 30 days are one clock. The state's permit rule is another, and no package changes it.

If you are 18 or older, you need a learner permit held for at least 30 days, or proof that you passed the written test. That lines up neatly with a one-month package.

If you are under 18, you need 180 days on your permit before the road test. A teen who is close to that mark can use Express to train and then test promptly. A teen with a new permit should call the office first and ask how the test would be scheduled.

Teens also owe the state 50 supervised hours with a parent, 10 of them at night. Fitting those around a fast course takes planning at home.

The defensive driving class is a 4-hour class held on the last Saturday of each month. Because it runs once a month, find the date early and reserve your seat by phone.

Pickup is not part of Express. You make your own way to Warr Acres.

The Premium Model has the same 30-day limit with 12 hours of driving, and it adds deluxe support on test day. Choose Express if 10 hours is enough for you and you do not need that addition. If you want the practice drive and a retest but have no deadline, the Deluxe package has both with 6 hours of driving.
